Job title: Maintenance Technician - Engine Department

About the Role Hyundai is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Engine department by performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on engine manufacturing process equipment. This role helps maintain uptime for automated systems including engine assembly lines, CNC machining centers, pumps, robotics, piping, chillers, conveyors, and other high-tech equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Visually inspect and listen to machines to locate malfunctions and use hand and power tools to access problem areas.
  • Dismantle, repair, and maintain mechanical and hydraulic components; follow blueprints and specifications; use precision measuring equipment.
  • Inspect and measure parts for wear or misalignment; replace worn or defective parts; realign components such as spindles and clutches.
  • Locate and repair damaged air and hydraulic piping; set up and operate metalworking tools to fabricate repair parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure system integrity; assist engineers with sketches or CAD designs.
  • Set up and operate automated equipment and robots; test operation after repair; work within HMMA standards.
  • Rotate between shifts and maintenance jobs; work overtime including some holidays and weekends; comply with BMS, EMS, and SMS requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: High School diploma or GED; 2-year technical degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Electricity, or Industrial Electronics preferred.
  • Related Experience: 1–3 years of job-related experience; multi-skilled across electricity, PLCs, pipefitting, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, CNC programming, robotics, servos.
  • Skills / Knowledge: Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel; general welding knowledge; PLC and CNC programming basics; reading schematics and blueprints; knowledge of robotics and servo systems.
  • Physical/Work Requirements: Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, holidays and weekends; willingness to comply with safety and environmental systems.

Nice to Have

  • Two-year technical degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Electricity, or Industrial Electronics is preferred.
