Job title: Maintenance Technician - Electrical/Automation
About the Role Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping electrical, automation, instrumentation and related plant systems in good operating condition through preventive and predictive actions. You will diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, propose improvements, and contribute to reducing unplanned maintenance and downtime.
What You'll Do
- Maintain systems, equipment and parts in operating areas via preventive/predictive actions, identifying, proposing improvements and providing solutions that mitigate the execution of corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose and correct problems (electrical, automation, electronics, instrumentation, parameterization and programming) of plant instruments and assets.
- Troubleshoot production lines and propose improvements in current systems.
- Generate and control stock of critical spare parts for electrical, electronic and automated equipment.
- Implement department improvements based on TPM.
- Program Siemens PLCs, analyze and design control circuits.
- Install and configure variable speed drives (SEW, Yaskawa).
- Knowledge of weighing system (repair, installation and calibration).
- Ensure proper cleaning of work areas.
- Comply with all norms, policies, safety rules and HESQ TOPS/HOPS as per Yara's Management System.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in similar roles.
- Knowledge of Industrial Safety (HESQ).
- Ability to present letters of recommendation, DC3 or credentials validating the specialization.
