Job title: Maintenance Technician - Clifton Park Area
About the Role Maintenance Technicians are needed to service multiple apartment communities in the Clifton Park area (daily travel stipend provided). The ideal candidate has at least two years of related experience, including handling work orders, apartment turnovers, painting, cleaning, and grounds maintenance. This role requires on-call availability and a customer-service mindset as you serve residents, clients, and teammates across five properties within 20 miles of Clifton Park.
What You'll Do
- Respond to resident work orders by assessing issues and making needed repairs (electrical/plumbing repairs not requiring a specialist; drywall, doors, and fixtures)
- Patch, paint, and clean apartment interiors to standards and schedules
- Maintain the apartment community and common areas, including exterior grounds and snow removal
- Ensure walkways are safe; inspect grounds daily for hazards and debris; manage dumpster area
- Communicate with residents and colleagues in a courteous, professional manner; maintain logs, work orders, Entrata records, and safety documentation
- Work on-call and overtime as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Basic plumbing, electrical, painting/patching, and carpentry skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues in apartments and common areas
- Proficient use of tools and equipment; understanding safety
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; climb ladders; crawl into awkward spaces
- Valid New York State driver's license and own vehicle; ability to drive to multiple job sites; not a Sunrise resident
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong communication and positive relationships with coworkers and residents
- English language proficiency (read, write, speak)
- On-call and overtime availability
- Ability to operate a company truck, keep it clean, and refuel as needed
