Maintenance Technician

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician will install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment and piping/electrical systems in Bachoco USA facilities. This safety sensitive role supports our production operations by ensuring reliable equipment performance and minimal downtime. What You'll Do

• Visually inspect machinery and support equipment prior to use

• Test machinery and supporting equipment after repair and prior to use

• Troubleshoot inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause

• Listen for unusual sounds

• Feel for unusual vibration

• Communicate with users regarding variation specifics

• Dismantle inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, install new or repaired parts and reassemble the machinery or supporting equipment

• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program

• Install and repair electrical apparatus (transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components) of machinery and supporting equipment

• Lay out, assemble, installs and maintains piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

• Repair and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment

• Repair and maintain physical structure(s) of the establishment

• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts

• Set up and operate machine tools such as a lathe, grinder, drill and milling machinery to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools

• Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For

• Experience installing, maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment and piping/electrical systems in a commercial/industrial setting

• Ability to visually inspect and test equipment before/after maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions

• Ability to dismantle, repair/replace parts, and reassemble machinery

• Ability to install/repair electrical apparatus and piping systems

• Ability to operate welding/cutting equipment and machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill, milling)
