Job title: Maintenance Technician
About the Role The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of buildings, grounds, machines and assets at the Appleton & Green Bay facilities, reporting to the Shop Superintendent. This is an in-office role based at Appleton.
What You'll Do
- Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety policies.
- Work alongside production personnel and contractors.
- Support troubleshooting of pumps, 440V 3-phase electrical systems, motors, drives, pneumatic and hydraulic.
- Identify necessary parts for maintenance and report to Shop Superintendent.
- Read and understand standard prints and instructions.
- Execute preventative maintenance schedules.
- Willingness to work off schedule shifts to execute urgent maintenance needs.
- Perform other maintenance, housekeeping, painting and miscellaneous tasks as needed and/or as directed by supervision.
- Proficiently perform all tasks with or without supervision.
- Must have computer skills (Word/Excel).
What We're Looking For
- Education: High school Diploma or equivalent. Experience: 2 years of relevant manufacturing-related mechanical or millwright experience, or 2 years technical training preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude; general knowledge of PLC controls and motor controls; HVAC knowledge a plus.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices.
- Ability to read prints and instructions; problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to work off schedule shifts; ability to work with production teams and contractors.
- Clear drug screen and background check.
