Job title: Maintenance Technician - Adams Park Apartments
About the Role We are seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join Adams Park Apartments in Albany, NY. The successful candidate will perform repairs, painting, cleaning, and grounds maintenance, respond to work orders, and assist with snow removal and other duties to ensure a safe, well-maintained property.
What You'll Do
- Respond to resident work orders by assessing issues and performing necessary repairs, including non-specialized electrical and plumbing tasks and drywall/fixture repairs.
- Patch, paint, and clean apartment interiors to required standards and schedules.
- Maintain common areas and grounds, including debris removal, safety checks, and snow removal.
- Keep walkways, dumpster area, and entrances clean and hazard-free; conduct daily grounds walks.
- Maintain safety, log work orders/Entrata records, and communicate with residents and staff with professionalism and urgency.
- Comply with safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Basic plumbing, electrical, painting/patching, and carpentry skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues in apartments and common areas.
- Proficiency with tools and machinery; safety-focused operation.
- Able to work on-call and overtime; maintain professionalism in interactions with residents and staff.
- Knowledge of painting/patching, cleaning methods, and ability to read/write English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend, crawl into spaces, and operate a company truck; valid NY driver's license and own vehicle.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
- Not a Sunrise resident.
- Cannot be a resident of a Sunrise-managed apartment community.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour. Benefits include 401(k) with match, Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Company Holidays, Referral Program.
