Job title: Maintenance Tech Lead
About the Role The Maintenance Tech Lead directs and coaches a team to support the day-to-day facilities operations at Milwaukee Tool. You’ll back up the Supervisor, foster morale and a culture of safety, and ensure staffing levels and peak production.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team to support the day-to-day operations and activities of the facilities effectively and efficiently.
- Work with Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing levels; serves as back-up in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Foster morale by providing feedback, recognition, and rewards.
- Conduct or delegate shift start-up meetings; communicate culture, safety, production, accuracy, recognition, and facility/HR updates to keep team members informed.
- Provide timely, ongoing communication ensuring the appropriate dissemination of information to department leaders.
- Prioritize repairs to keep the facility at peak production; identify measures to improve various warehouse processes.
- Develop all technicians to become a valuable part of the team to ensure their skills are at par with warehouse standards and regulations.
- Maintain and enforce a clean and safe working environment.
- Drive safety and culture and hold team members accountable for compliance.
- Act as the go-to person for a cohesive team of technicians that are committed to the success of the department.
- Communicate and support other departments by supporting their successes.
