About this role

About the Role Under minimal supervision, maintain and repair assigned equipment to ensure production and quality. This role sets up, adjusts, performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs conveyors, automation, robotics, and related equipment in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do

  • Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and ad-hoc repairs on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment, act as an escalation point for lower level technicians, and escalate to leadership and/or more senior technicians as needed.
  • Record all maintenance issues in maintenance logs for each production line; document work in CMMS and ticketing systems; maintain accurate records of operating logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC, and other facility systems tested regularly.
  • Mentor maintenance personnel and assist mechanics on two-person tasks or when operational needs demand.
  • Perform facility/building project work (lighting replacements, door repairs, carpentry, plumbing, ceiling tile replacement, etc.) and oversee contractor work as assigned.
  • Assemble and test equipment to verify correct operation; analyze production delays and initiate corrective actions; examine defects and causes of spoilage and implement actions.
  • Certify on all industrial lift equipment (picking devices, reaches, skates, booms, scissor lifts, etc.).
  • Oversee projects and building efficiency improvements; supervise junior engineers and provide training as needed. What We're Looking For
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Preferred: Associates degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent; trade apprenticeship or current certification.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel; experience with inputs/outputs and PLC logic; ability to troubleshoot PLC-based systems.
  • Travel: Willing to travel up to 10% (within state and out of state).
  • Willingness to learn: Must be willing to learn new equipment as it is brought online.
  • Physical: Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods; stand 8–12 hours; climb ladders; work at heights; operate material handling equipment (forklift); PPE and safe work practices; LOTO and Arc Flash procedures.
  • Availability: Must be able to work overtime and be available for on-call requests as needed. Nice to Have
  • Apprenticeship or trade certification; Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting inputs/outputs and PLC logic systems. Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $27.00 - $39.25 per hour.
