Job title: Maintenance Tech I

About the Role Medline is seeking a Maintenance Tech I who will set up, adjust, and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment to support production and quality goals. Under limited supervision, you will work on conveyors, automation, robotics and related systems and help ensure safe, reliable operation.

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment as needed.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting of out-of-service equipment; act as escalation point for lower-level technicians; escalate to leadership or more senior technicians as needed.
  • Record all maintenance issues in maintenance logs for each line.
  • Document all work in CMMS and ticketing systems; maintain accurate operation logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC and other facility systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events.
  • Assist maintenance mechanics in two-person tasks or as needed by operational requirements.
  • Perform facility/building project work (lighting, door repairs, carpentry, plumbing, ceiling tiles) and maintain operation logs.
  • Assemble and test equipment to verify correct operation; analyze production delays and initiate corrective actions; verify effectiveness.
  • Examine defects and determine spoilage causes; take corrective actions when possible.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment; basic skills in multiple computer software packages including Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with inputs/outputs and PLC logic systems; ability to troubleshoot PLC-based systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time (within state/out of state).
  • Physical ability to frequently move, lift up to 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs occasionally; stand 8–12 hours; climb ladders; read drawings; operate PPE and follow Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash safety rules.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment; overtime availability; on-call as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Associate's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent; apprenticeship program completion or trade certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a building maintenance position servicing a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $28.75 - $41.75 per hour (USD).
