About the Role Maintenance Team Leader at Weir in Newton, MS, overseeing maintenance activities on a 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM shift (Mon-Fri) onsite, with some flexibility. You will lead a maintenance team to ensure reliability and safety in mining technology operations, aligning with Weir's mission to move less rock and use resources efficiently. What You'll Do
- Lead, supervise, and develop the maintenance team on shift
- Plan, assign, and prioritize maintenance tasks to maximize equipment uptime
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with operations to align maintenance with production needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical/electrical issues as required
- Manage shift schedule and coordinate with other teams as needed What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading a maintenance team in manufacturing/mining or heavy equipment environments
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work a fixed shift (7:00 AM - 3:15 PM) onsite and adapt to some flexibility
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Safety-focused mindset and knowledge of maintenance best practices
