About the Role As the Maintenance Supervisor for Lear’s Farwell facility, you will ensure plant equipment and facilities are operational and compliant with health & safety and production requirements. You will supervise staff, assure the quality of work, provide needed supplies and components, schedule tasks, and accurately document work performed. What You'll Do
- Provide leadership to department associates and create a positive, safe work environment to maximize development, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Deliver safety training for proper access and use of equipment and audit individuals’ safety performance per OSHA/MIOSHA and company policies.
- Implement Reliability Engineer's control plans for preventative, precision and predictive maintenance.
- Work with maintenance team to craft task lists for repair work orders and routine inspections.
- Create and administer job packages including task instructions, safety requirements and permits, special tool requirements, kitted parts list, priority, and timing.
- Audit execution of critical repairs and inspections for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain Work in Planning (WIP) and Work Ready to Schedule (WRTS) backlog.
- Provide daily work schedules and job packages to all maintenance and tooling associates.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure parts arrive on time and as ordered.
- Ensure accurate data input into MP2 and maintain daily/weekly resource availability schedules.
- Work within corporate purchasing to manage spare parts inventory.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Direct the work of Maintenance and Tooling associates and ensure a majority of work is indoors.
- Evaluate, discipline and reward as needed. What We're Looking For
- Associates degree or equivalent in verified experience and training.
- Excellent safety record.
- Facility with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and MP2 (Maintenance software).
- Ability to complete and maintain department records and reports.
- Verified supervisory and maintenance experience in positions of increasing responsibility.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Nice to Have
- Reactive molding experience with polyurethane.
- Tooling Experience.
- Experience working with dynamic groups.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry.
