Job Overview: Build the team. Strengthen the maintenance systems. Drive reliability. Keep production moving. Ingersoll Rand’s Alsip facility supports the IRP, MP Pump and Oberdorfer Pump businesses, trusted brands known worldwide for reliable, innovative and durable fluid-handling solutions. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor who is, first and foremost, a skilled people leader with a proven track record of building and improving maintenance operations in an industrial manufacturing environment.

This strategic, highly visible role will help shape the maintenance function across a large, complex machine shop supporting more than 80 machining centers. We need a builder—not simply someone to maintain an established maintenance program. The successful candidate will bring the technical expertise, leadership and initiative to strengthen maintenance processes, establish accountability and move the organization from reactive repairs toward a more proactive, planned and reliability-focused operation. This role requires demonstrated success in developing preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs, owning and optimizing CMMS processes and work-order quality, improving maintenance planning and scheduling, and strengthening spare parts and asset management. This leader will use key reliability measures, including downtime, MTTR and MTBF, to identify opportunities, measure results and drive continuous improvement.

Equally important, this individual will develop a skilled, accountable maintenance team by setting clear expectations, identifying training needs and fostering a culture of safety, ownership and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings recent, hands-on maintenance leadership experience in an active industrial production environment and strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control systems. CNC expertise is helpful but not required, and union-environment leadership experience is highly valued.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Purchasing and Finance, this supervisor will develop people, influence maintenance strategy, improve equipment reliability and help position the Alsip facility for continued growth. If you are a hands-on maintenance leader who thrives on building teams, improving systems and creating a stronger, more reliable operation, we want to hear from you.
