About the Role Corning is seeking a Maintenance Shift Technician for its Display Technologies facility in Hefei. The role focuses on equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, and shop floor equipment improvements to support high-precision glass substrate manufacturing. What You'll Do
- Equipment downtime analysis and improvement
- Daily troubleshooting to maximize equipment uptime
- Perform weekly and quarterly preventive maintenance per guidelines and maintain records
- Develop and maintain records for downtime and parts replacement
- Schedule and execute weekly/monthly/quarterly preventive maintenance (PdM, PM)
- Spare parts management and incoming quality control
- Conduct technician cross-training and onboarding of new technicians
- Conduct PM training and certification for operators
- Develop and monitor departmental budget, SOPs, ISO and TPM-5S system for the department
- Support shop floor equipment and tools improvements
- Assist shop floor routine jobs What We're Looking For
- Education: College degree in Mechanical or related engineering; 5 years in equipment maintenance
- Required Skills: equipment installation/alignment/repair/lubrication and maintenance; basic understanding of equipment design, operation and maintenance; servo motor/inverter maintenance and replacement; ball screw/LM guide/air cylinder maintenance; maintenance PM principles; pneumatic system maintenance; LOTO understanding/execution
- Desired Skills: AutoCAD & SolidWorks; CNC machining experience; FANUC robot operation and maintenance; process troubleshooting and data-driven root cause analysis; cross-cultural communication/coordination; Welding/High-Voltage/Low-Voltage electrician licenses (as applicable)
- Soft Skills: results orientation, schedule control, improvement, strong communication; good presentation and reporting; strong ownership of plant goals; ability to work independently and in a team
