About the Role The Plant Maintenance role is responsible for all aspects of plant repair across mechanical systems including conveyor systems, electrical, plumbing, pneumatics and welding. The role ensures equipment is serviced and maintained to manufacturer specifications and company policy. What You'll Do
- Utilize all tools safely and in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure equipment is serviced, repaired and maintained per manufacturer’s specifications and Company policy.
- Assist in scheduling of plant and equipment for work and repair.
- Adhere to the priorities of work to meet operational needs, and follow Lock-Out Tag-Out and safety procedures when working on equipment.
- Follow safety and environmental rules; log and take corrective actions as needed; comply with company safety rules; wear PPE.
- Identify, log, and take corrective action on safety items to ensure safe operation of the plant.
- Utilize crane equipment, hydraulic equipment and specialized tools within safety limits.
- Complete daily paperwork including daily log, plant repair requests, Job Hazard Analysis, permits; check in/out at each plant.
- Communicate with supervisor daily; may work 1st/2nd/3rd shifts or overtime including weekends; carry company cell phone for scheduling. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; trade school certification.
- One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
- Qualified experienced welder; must pass a physical welding exam.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, conveyors, belts, gearboxes and drives.
- Electrical experience with 120V to 460V 3-phase; troubleshoot control circuits; change electric motors/components.
- Data entry skills (work orders and email).
- Ability to work with safety protocols, PPE, and safety/environmental rules. Compensation & Benefits
