Maintenance Operator

About the Role Alstom maintains and services rolling stock and infrastructure equipment. The Maintenance Operator is responsible for servicing, maintaining, performing warranty repairs and overhauls, and ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective operation while driving continuous quality improvements. What You'll Do

• Maintain and service rolling stock and infrastructure equipment as directed by Team Leaders and Production Management, adhering to quality standards and working within SOPs and task sequencing.
• Apply Special Processes, support secondary fault finding, and use relevant IT systems (MMIS/SES) to record progress and status of issues.
• Report status of operations, complete Work Checklists and Work Orders with detailed information including completion time.
• Propose productivity improvements with Team Leaders and the Industrial Team; maintain 5S housekeeping in work areas.
• Participate in training across other skills (e.g., forklift, driving if certified) and be adaptable to retraining as required by Production Management to support Operations.
• Follow safety notices and regulations; comply with EHS protection and AZDP measures. What We're Looking For
• Electrician certificate (must) and time-served apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical qualifications (ONC/HNC/City & Guilds) or recognised equivalent; dual skilled (mechanical and electrical).
• Experience of working to procedures, work instructions and vehicle maintenance instructions; knowledge of train maintenance; etc.
• Experience mentoring and instructing other team members; fault finding; reading schematic diagrams; and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Languages: Hebrew and English.
• Team-oriented with strong written and verbal communication; problem resolution; self-motivated; able to work on own initiative; IT literate; willing to work in shifts; valid driver's license. Nice to Have
• Experience mentoring and instructing other team members.
