About the Role Volt is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Corona, CA to learn, troubleshoot, and maintain basic production equipment. You will interpret technical diagrams, support safety and efficiency through preventative maintenance, and help ensure reliable operation of plant equipment. This temp-to-hire role provides growth opportunities with Volt. What You'll Do
- Learn how basic production equipment operates and explain its functions to others
- Troubleshoot machines and identify mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Follow Kanban procedures and inventory control processes
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of mechanical systems and lubrication requirements
- Report issues and complete work orders (digital or paper-based)
- Perform basic preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and understand their importance for equipment reliability and safety
- Complete minor plumbing repairs as needed
- Maintain clear communication with Supervisors or Leads and support additional tasks as assigned What We're Looking For
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Strong safety awareness and attendance record
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Willingness to learn all aspects of repair and production
- Basic math skills
- Good time management skills
- A proactive attitude and ability to take initiative
- Interest in growth and advancement within the company
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $28.00/hour + DOE
