About the Role
Volt is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Oxnard, CA to install, maintain, repair, and rebuild up to 400-ton complex industrial machines, including mechanical and hydraulic punch presses, CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, radial drill presses, and cranes. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring safe, efficient operation in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with overtime opportunities. What You'll Do

Install, maintain, repair, and/or rebuild up to 400-ton industrial machines and equipment (e.g., punch presses, CNCs, lathes, milling machines, radial drills, cranes).

Work on Soco and Amada machines; Haas machines a plus.

Inspect, diagnose defects, replace parts, fabricate minor parts, and adjust equipment for efficient operation.

Demonstrate maintenance best practices and safety standards (OSHA compliance, electrical safety, lockout/tagout).

Perform preventative maintenance and read/interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, manuals, blueprints.

Dismantle machines to access interior parts; install functional/structural parts; lubricate and clean parts.

Start up, restart, and power down machines; test performance before, during, and after service.

Maintain a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For

Experience maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting.

Electrical knowledge in 110-480V AC, single- and three-phase; ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.

Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, manuals, blueprints.

Strong safety mindset with knowledge of OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures.

Self-motivated with initiative for preventative maintenance and problem solving.

Willingness to work Monday-Friday with Saturday overtime; able to work in Oxnard, CA.

Experience with Soco, Amada, and Haas machines. Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $34-$36 per hour.
