Maintenance Mechanic Technician

About the Role Volt is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician to maintain and repair manufacturing and facility equipment at our Lake Forest, CA site. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and supporting equipment upgrades to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations. What You'll Do

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, and production machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Install, align, adjust, and calibrate mechanical equipment and components.
• Replace bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, seals, valves, and other mechanical parts.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify sources of equipment failure and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, with weekends and overtime as needed. What We're Looking For
• Experience in manufacturing, food processing, packaging, medical device, or distribution environments.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Forklift and scissor lift certification.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Minimum 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs as needed. Nice to Have
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Technical training or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or related field (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
