Job title: Maintenance Mechanic NE
About the Role The Maintenance Mechanic is part of the Mattel Fort Worth Distribution Center team. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing complex machinery, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance, and coordinating with operations to minimize downtime.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair complex machinery; perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Identify mechanical issues, troubleshoot faults, and complete necessary repairs; replace worn or defective parts
- Manage inventory: track and order spare parts
- Follow safety regulations and maintenance procedures
- Coordinate with operations staff to minimize downtime and resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Perform general building maintenance including lighting, plumbing, and grounds upkeep
- Assign tasks, monitor work quality, and ensure compliance with company standards
- Guide and advise team members on proper use of tools, equipment, and supplies
- Report progress on work orders and escalate unresolved issues to leadership
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3+ years in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or related field
- Experience in distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems
- Experience with power tools and maintenance equipment
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs; CMMS experience a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift 0-50 pounds; stand, climb, and perform hands-on repair work
- Ability to read and follow instructions; effective communication with management
- Current Driver's License and forklift certification

- CMMS experience (preferred but not required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $23.20 - $29.00 per hour
