About the Role Responsible for performing advanced mechanical and hydraulic maintenance inspections, diagnosing issues, and applying corrective actions in a safe and efficient manner according to procedures and quality standards. The role includes analyzing problems and improvement opportunities to support reliable machine and equipment operation within Tenaris manufacturing plants.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, diagnose and perform advanced mechanical and hydraulic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
- Follow up repairs ensuring the effectiveness of the work.
- Disassemble and assemble complex mechanical components.
- Inspect equipment according to maintenance plans and standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis of failures and implement actions to prevent repeats.
- Review emergency repairs and failure analyses.
- Propose machine and equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Plan subassemblies policies and maintain documentation.
- Perform mechanical and optical alignments.
- Build hydraulic piping and install accessories.
- Interpret technical drawings.
- Operate welding equipment.
- Perform machine lock out and tag out procedures.
- Verify tools, instruments and accessories meet specifications.
- Develop and test preventive maintenance plans.
- Plan corrective actions for scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns.
- Plan and carry out predictive maintenance techniques under supervision.
- Ensure availability of resources, stock management, and correct data entry in maintenance systems.
- Interact with other departments as needed.
- Carry out forklift or overhead crane operation when applicable.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in mechanical and hydraulic maintenance inspections, diagnosis, and corrective actions.
- Ability to disassemble/assemble complex mechanical components and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance planning.
- Skills in welding, hydraulic piping, and alignment.
- Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures and tool/instrument verification.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and stocking/stock-control processes.
- Strong collaboration and communication across areas.
