Maintenance Mechanic
Our growing client needs a Maintenance Mechanic to keep their Laconia, NH facility running smoothly. If you have maintenance experience, including HVAC, then consider this full-time, direct-hire role with great benefits!
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including electric motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, control wiring, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, and production machines and equipment
- Complete maintenance requests via ticket system and keep accurate records
- Observe devices in operation to troubleshoot and identify issues
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Perform general building maintenance (e.g., painting, replacing light bulbs and filters) and maintain safety of building exterior (shoveling, identifying trip and fall hazards)
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement in the areas of efficiency, safety, quality, production, and cost savings
- Maintain and promote a clean, FOD free, organized work area
Qualifications of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Maintenance background including HVAC systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Visual acuity and attention to detail
- Ability to perform an active role and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
