Job title: Maintenance Mechanic III
About the Role
Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic III performs a variety of skilled preventive and general maintenance, repair, construction and renovation work on facilities and systems to keep operations safe and reliable.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on piping and plumbing systems including fixtures, water fountains, and bathroom equipment; steam and process hot water systems (control and isolation valves, steam traps, heat exchangers, pumps, and related equipment); and process equipment including tunnel washers, rack washers, bottle washers, autoclaves, bedding dispensers, drying cabinets, and water treatment systems.
- Participate in major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems.
- Provide general cleanup, housekeeping, and maintenance of mechanical equipment rooms.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Train and mentor junior technicians.
- Manage small projects and contractors in the field.
- Assist supervisor with capital and operational work planning and execution.
- Act as a technical lead on complex jobs.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 8 years of facilities maintenance experience.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn and apply modern precision maintenance techniques for coupled and belt-driven equipment.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and ordinances related to facilities plumbing, electrical, and renovation tasks.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment schematics.
- State licenses such as Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC are a plus.
- May require occasional shift work including nights, holidays, and weekends for special projects or events.
- Participation in an on-call rotation with a 45-minute response time or less.
- Occasional travel for training or project support.
- Other duties as needed.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $27.18 - $45.51 per hour USD
- Full-time, onsite position. On-call rotation and overtime opportunities may apply.
