Job title: Maintenance Mechanic
About the Role DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair warehouse vehicles and facilities at the Salt Lake City site. The role supports diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance for forklifts, trailers, conveyors, and power equipment, as well as building systems such as water, heating, air conditioning and electrical components.
What You'll Do
- Schedule and perform daily maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Repair forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment and other power equipment.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure reliability.
- Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms for immediate maintenance needs.
- Ensure maintenance work meets company standards and safety requirements.
- Monitor vehicle condition and driver compliance with company driving policies.
- Manage parts inventory at economical levels for efficient operation.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area and HVAC systems.
- Carry out minor water and electrical repairs and general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.
- Ensure safety equipment is in proper working order and complete required reports after maintenance tasks.
- Respond to security/alarm calls as needed.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Pass Department of Transportation exam.
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience.
- 6 months related experience.
- 2-5 years equipment maintenance experience.
- 1 year of fleet experience.
