About the Role Volt is immediately hiring for a Bilingual Spanish Maintenance Mechanic in Commerce, CA. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity to perform mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, and safety-compliant work across locations, with clear communication to Production Supervisors and a bilingual English/Spanish requirement. What You'll Do
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to sounds to locate trouble.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts; inspect used parts for dimensional changes; adjust functional parts.
- Repair or replace defective parts; install functional and structural parts; lubricate and clean components.
- May perform welding repairs and electrical equipment repairs if qualified; may perform carpentry and painting maintenance.
- Operate forklift, trucks, and electric pallet jacks; follow all safety policies and practices.
- Read and interpret English safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures; write routine reports; communicate effectively with Production Supervisor.
- Change parameters on electronic equipment such as date coders and metal detectors.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends; comply with company safety policies. What We're Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or GED; or 3-5 years related experience or equivalent.
- Intermediate or higher-level mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills; basic/intermediate industrial electrical repair and maintenance skills.
- Experience with A/C and D/C electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, masonry, non-ammonia refrigeration systems, and material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Able to work nights and weekends; able to lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand/walk; use hands; good vision; PPE awareness.
- Ability to read/write routine reports and communicate with Production Supervisor. Nice to Have

- Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour.
