Job title: Maintenance Mechanic 4
About the Role This position leads a team of technical personnel in the Facilities Department and is responsible for the execution of Facilities Operations at Manufacturing and related areas (e.g., warehouse, walk-in freezers). It also covers repairs of the facility’s structure and equipment, including electrical and HVAC, and maintains databases for Facilities Operations & Maintenance. The role assists with administrative functions for facilities and EH&S groups and coordinates PMs, work requests, and vendors as needed.
What You'll Do
- Operation of Facilities equipment and hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities systems (e.g., RO/DI water system, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems).
- Execute Work Order planning and scheduling for PM per Master List; liaise with vendors for PM schedules.
- Supervising/execution of maintenance activities as per schedule; attend interruptions in manufacturing and related areas.
- Support manufacturing and related areas to ensure smooth operations and uphold environmental safety; participate in Operations & Maintenance Improvement Projects.
- Support Facilities Change Control (FCC); document changes and closure of MMS work orders.
- Monitor environmental parameters via Building Management System (BMS) & Environmental Management System (EMS); review equipment/system checklists and generate log trending.
- Lead problem solving, guide team members, and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA); contribute to predictive maintenance based on Life Cycle Management; identify and manage critical spares; support renewal of Maintenance Service Contracts.
- Initiate requests in platforms such as ARIBA, iFunctional, Agiloft when needed; support annual Plant Shutdown planning.
- Attend audits (internal & external); maintain daily logs and assist in program planning and execution.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Ability to be on 24-hour standby and perform rotating 12-hour shift support if required.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and with all levels; good team player.
- Ability to interface professionally with all levels of the company; willingness to accommodate business needs.
Nice to Have
- Preferably experience in cleanroom/manufacturing facilities environment.
- NITEC/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong electrical fundamentals with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
