Job title: Maintenance Leader
About the Role Join Danone’s West Jordan yogurt plant as Maintenance Leader. You will champion equipment reliability and performance for the assigned line as part of the line-centric team (Line Leader, Process Engineer, and Maintenance Leader). You will own the equipment maintenance plan, breakdown analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
What You'll Do
- Review and prioritize work orders and notifications within 24 hours of generation.
- Keep the work order backlog current and report-ready.
- Lead daily plan reviews and adjust plans based on schedule and line conditions.
- Coordinate planned stops and integrate maintenance tasks into the master plan.
- Schedule maintenance work for the next week and month per annual maintenance plan.
- Optimize line startup/shutdown and coordinate major maintenance interventions with Line Leader/Process Engineer.
- Maintain and update Maintenance Technical Documentation; develop One-Point Lessons and train line staff.
- Develop and update annual maintenance plan and calendar.
- Track maintenance indicators and KPIs; share results with department leadership monthly.
- Monitor PM/DMS health and drive corrective actions (BDE, MP&S, AM, CIL, CL, DH, etc.).
- Collaborate with Storeroom to identify parts and ensure timely delivery; manage obsolescence and stock levels.
- Provide feedback to design on new equipment or line speed changes.
- Participate in vendor acceptance testing and project work on new products/equipment.
- Be a PM pillar team member and own the site PM system; coach other maintenance leaders.
- Deliver on SQCDMN goals through individual and team efforts.
- Ensure safety standards (WISE) and maintain a safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading maintenance in a manufacturing environment with strong planning and scheduling skills.
- Ability to manage maintenance plans, track KPIs, and drive reliability improvements.
- Knowledge of PM, DMS, IWS, Change Management (CM), and autonomous maintenance concepts.
- Strong communication, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance (WISE, GMP, FDA, ISO).
- Ability to work extended shifts (up to 12 hours) and physically perform required tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Integrated Work System (IWS) and PM pillar concepts.
- Dairy or food manufacturing experience.
- Experience with vendor acceptance testing.
