Your Job

As a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator, you will help maintain a safe, reliable, and well-functioning manufacturing facility. This role will coordinate and perform preventive maintenance, facility repairs, building improvements, and day-to-day maintenance activities across our office and manufacturing areas.

This is a placeholder that describes the job duties and expectations for the role. You will serve as a key point of contact for facility needs, working with employees, maintenance resources, contractors, vendors, and site leadership to identify issues, coordinate solutions, and support projects from planning through completion.

Our Team

You will support a fast-paced manufacturing environment where maintaining the building and infrastructure is critical to safe and efficient operations. You will work closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, Security, and external contractors to support both day-to-day facility needs and longer-term improvement projects.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance throughout office, warehouse, and manufacturing areas, including routine inspections and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Inspect the facility regularly to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, required repairs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, doors, docks, roofing, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Support general facility repairs such as painting, drywall, flooring, fixtures, furniture, doors, locks, shelving, and minor carpentry.
  • Coordinate internal and external building projects, including renovations, office modifications, production-area changes, facility improvements, and contractor work.
  • Manage relationships with outside contractors, service providers, and vendors, including obtaining quotes, scheduling work, coordinating site access, and monitoring work through completion.
  • Coordinate recurring services such as HVAC maintenance, pest control, landscaping/grounds maintenance, waste removal, janitorial services, fire protection inspections, and other building services, as applicable.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, service records, inspection documentation, warranties, and other facility records.
  • Monitor facility conditions and help prioritize maintenance requests based on safety, operational impact, urgency, and cost.
  • Respond to urgent facility issues such as water leaks, power or lighting problems, HVAC failures, damaged doors, plumbing issues, and other building-related concerns.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with manufacturing teams to minimize disruption to production.
  • Support the installation, relocation, and removal of office furniture, workstations, storage systems, equipment, and other facility assets.
  • Assist with space planning and preparation of offices, conference rooms, production areas, storage areas, and employee common spaces.
  • Support facility improvement projects by coordinating scope, quotes, schedules, contractors, materials, and completion of work.
  • Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, spare parts, and facility-related inventory and coordinate replenishment when needed.
  • Help ensure contractors and maintenance activities follow applicable site safety, EHS, lockout/tagout, permitting, and facility requirements.
  • Support fire/life-safety systems, emergency lighting, alarms, exits, and other emergency facility systems through inspections and coordination with qualified service providers as appropriate.
  • Support facility inspections, audits, and corrective actions related to building and maintenance conditions.
  • Identify recurring facility issues and recommend long-term repairs or improvements rather than repeated temporary fixes.
  • Track maintenance expenses and support planning for upcoming facility repairs, capital improvements, and building projects.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance and facility areas.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, employee experience, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on support for routine facility maintenance and repairs within the individual's training and capabilities, while coordinating licensed or specialized contractors when required.

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting facilities, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, construction, property maintenance, or a related field.
  • General working knowledge of building systems and routine maintenance practices.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple maintenance requests and projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, vendors, and site leadership.
  • Ability to maintain maintenance schedules, records, work orders, and project documentation.
  • Ability to perform physical activities associated with facility maintenance, including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting/moving materials consistent with site requirements.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience supporting facilities within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, building renovations, or construction projects.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs or a CMMS/work-order system. Preventive-maintenance coordinator roles commonly rely on scheduled maintenance programs and maintenance records, and your existing internal maintenance role also references CMMS documentation practices.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or general building systems.
  • Experience supporting facility safety inspections, emergency systems, or EHS requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple facility projects from scope and quote through completion.
