Job title: Maintenance & Equipment Technician
Section: About the Role DATI is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Equipment Technician to maintain training machinery and facilities, ensure equipment safety, and minimise downtime during practical training sessions.
Section: Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
- Diagnose and repair machinery faults, power systems, and simulator breakdowns.
- Calibrate instruments, testing simulators, and laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and service HVAC equipment.
- Maintain workshop tools, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records.
- Inspect equipment before practical training sessions.
- Enforce workshop safety procedures and supervise maintenance assistants and apprentices.
Section: Requirements
- OND, Trade Test I, II, or III, or apprenticeship certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in industrial equipment maintenance, electrical diagnostics, instrument calibration, and machinery repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting, mechanical/electrical diagnostics, calibration, and HVAC repair skills.
- Good workshop safety, inventory management, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and work collaboratively.
