Job title: Maintenance Engineer
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at our Taste & Nutrition Manufacturing facility in Runcorn. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in keeping our production equipment running safely and efficiently. This opportunity has arisen due to the planned retirement of a team member.
What You'll Do
- Provide full technical engineering support to the Production function and ensure the integrity of equipment
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns and support continuous improvement to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance
- Complete PM sheets, liaise with the Maintenance Planner, and maintain accurate engineering logs and computer systems
- Carry out risk assessments, implement safety controls, and ensure safe lock-off of dangerous machinery
- Resolve breakdowns, perform PMs, and work on project/improvement works to minimize downtime
- Actively seek PMs on offline machinery where time allows
- Gather information from production personnel to speed up fault finding and ensure timely repairs
- Ensure all communications with external parties are professional and aligned with Kerry's standards
What We're Looking For
- Qualified multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and/or electrical expertise
- Strong experience in manufacturing maintenance and equipment reliability
- Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record in PPM, breakdown reduction and continuous improvement
- Collaborative, hands-on approach with the ability to support others
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP is an advantage
