About the Role ALS Minerals is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Loughrea, Co. Galway. You will perform maintenance on plant and machinery, ensure safety and compliance with ALS policies, and maintain records per ISO17025. This role offers opportunities to develop skills and advance within the ALS global network.
What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of plant and machinery as required.
- Complete maintenance logs on a daily/weekly basis and ensure records comply with ISO17025.
- Notify the Health and Safety Officer of any unsafe equipment or practices and implement safety improvements.
- Conduct daily site rounds (if required) and report/repair defects.
- Assist the maintenance department under the Maintenance Supervisor; support project facilities team when requested.
- Prioritise and complete repairs in a timely fashion; maintain effective communication with management and projects facilities.
- Maintain equipment safely and perform work in a collaborative manner per ALS procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Time-served Electrician; qualification preferred with industrial experience.
- Testing experience and QC number is a bonus.
- Some mechanical repair experience is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients and staff, internal and external; strong teamwork.
- Experience in maintenance operations; on-the-job training provided.
