Job title: Maintenance Automation Technician (B Shift)
About the Role Autoliv is seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician on the B shift at Promontory to install, repair, and maintain production machines and equipment. This role focuses on automation maintenance and collaborating with operators and engineering to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
What You'll Do
- Perform installations, repairs and maintenance on production machines and equipment.
- Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: equipment repair, electrical, and/or automation maintenance.
- Conduct routine periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns on machines and/or equipment.
- Create and issue trouble-shooting guides, PM instructions, and technical work instructions.
- Work closely with operators and engineering teams to provide feedback and reduce machine downtime.
- Maintain ability to work a full-time schedule and adhere to all safety standards including LOTO.
- Documents all maintenance activity and assists with root-cause analysis and other downtime reduction activities.
- Service, troubleshoots, and solves production process equipment problems.
What We're Looking For
- 2-year vocational certificate in Automation Maintenance.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician in a large and fast paced manufacturing facility.
- Availability to commit to Weekday Grave Shift.
- US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Ability to read schematics on hardwire / relay logic, controls – PLC and industrial PC.
- Flexibility to respond to critical machine downtime calls as needed during off shifts, evenings, and weekends.
- Being able to stand for long periods of time and able to work in hot and cold environments.
- Knowledge of safety standards including LOTO.
