About the Role Maintenance Associate - Electrician is a production/maintenance role at Corning in the Corning Valley focused on electrical maintenance for manufacturing operations. The role includes orientation, testing and interviews as part of the application process, and eventual placement into self-managed teams with a union representation. What You'll Do
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks as part of production/maintenance teams across Corning Valley plants.
- Participate in the application process (orientation, tests, interviews) and comply with background checks and a medical exam.
- Maintain safety and compliance: pre-employment drug test, physical, and ability to lift up to 80 pounds; rotate shifts and work holidays/weekends; travel between plants up to ~15 miles; provide own transportation.
- Work within USW Local 1000 represented roles; abide by collective bargaining agreements.
- Adhere to a 90-day probationary period and support no relocation and no immigration sponsorship. What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Electrical Journeyman status or equivalent, or have at least 4 years of applicable experience or military equivalent.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds; ability to operate within rotating shifts; willingness to work holidays/weekends.
- Strong work ethic and ability to participate in self-managed teams and teamwork. Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $34.58 per hour.
- Compensation and benefits governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement; company-wide bonuses and long-term incentives exist; no relocation assistance; does not sponsor immigration.
