About your role: At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering - Sr Advisor I, you will play a critical role in leading the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you'll do

• Provide leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform advanced coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
• Drive innovation and best practices within the software development team.

Experience you'll need to have:

• 10+ years of experience in software development
• 10+ years of experience in Cobol
• 8+ years experience with IBM tools, monitoring tools, RMF, DB2 utilities, Platinum Detector, etc
• 10+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience in the financial services industry
