Machinists – Manual & CNC
Leddy Group is currently seeking skilled Manual and CNC Machinists to join a leading advanced manufacturing company in Exeter, NH. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a precision machining environment producing high-reliability components used in demanding aerospace, defense, and mission-critical applications. Qualified candidates will have experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment, reading blueprints, and performing secondary machining operations to parts.
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift
- 2nd Shift (15% differential)
- Weekend Shift (Work 36 Hours, Paid 40 Hours) (20% differential)
Pay Range Range goes up to $40.00+ per hour, depending on position, shift & differential

Responsibilities Vary by Assigned Position but Could Include:
- Setting up, adjusting, and operating manual machine tools, CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment
- Producing precision-machined components to exact specifications and tolerances
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, routers, and work instructions
- Programming, editing, and troubleshooting CNC machining programs
- Measuring and inspecting parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Estimating dimensions and layouts of components prior to machining
- Selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining methods
- Assisting with the design and development of machining fixtures and work-holding devices
- Troubleshooting equipment, tooling, and machining processes
- Maintaining production records and quality documentation
- Working closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assisting in training and mentoring less experienced machinists as needed
Successful Candidates May Have:
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist, CNC Machinist, Toolmaker, Precision Machinist, or CNC Operator
- Experience setting up and operating manual mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC machining centers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of machining practices, feeds, speeds, tooling, and precision measurement techniques
- Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Manufacturing, machining, trade school, or apprenticeship training preferred
