About the Role Sonoco is seeking a skilled Machinist in Hartsville, SC to operate and program machine shop equipment, including manual lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines. You will work with state-of-the-art technology and collaborate with mentors focused on continuous improvement. This full-time role offers swing shifts with potential overtime. What You'll Do
- Operate and program NC Mills and other machine shop equipment
- Set up machines and fixtures for individual parts
- Read standard and metric blueprints with GD&T
- Know speeds and feeds for various materials and tooling
- Inspect own parts using calipers, micrometers, depth mics, and scales
- Maintain safety and document actions across shifts
