Job title: Machinist
About the Role The Machinist operates machining tools and equipment to meet safety and quality standards while achieving productivity targets. The role continuously troubleshoots and problem-solves production processes to ensure parts meet or exceed manufacturing set-up and cycle times.
What You'll Do
- Understand, adhere to, and demonstrate the company's commitment to safety and quality.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance for the scheduled shift.
- Run multiple types of machines and work cells, including standalone CNC mills.
- Set up and produce parts for machine cells and standalone CNC mills.
- Demonstrate proficiency with multiple machine types and control systems.
- Set up the first part on the machine as directed by Supervisor/Manager.
- Run the first part after machine set-up and verify stability and tolerance.
- Verify all set-up documentation is correct and adequate for the run.
- Complete MIP sheet for the first part.
- Ensure correct work orders, programs, and documents are used for the current operation.
- Help troubleshoot basic production problems.
What We're Looking For
- Experience or ability to run multiple machine types and CNC controls.
- Ability to set up and verify first-part runs and ensure parts meet tolerances.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and documentation.
- Reliable attendance and shift availability (weekend nights).
Compensation & Benefits
- Shift: Weekend Nights, Friday-Sunday, 4:30pm-5:00am.
- Shift differential: $5.00 per hour.
- Work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours.
