About the Role Machine parts per engineering drawings, tool design sketches, and verbal requests. The role requires reading part prints, performing basic trigonometry, and creating fixtures to hold parts during machining. You will interpret manufacturing prints and work orders to ensure accurate parts and processes. What You'll Do
- Read part prints and perform basic trigonometry and standard machine shop calculations
- Create fixtures to hold parts during machining
- Interpret documents such as manufacturing prints and work order packets; complete forms as required by the work center
- Read blueprints and work independently; maintain safety and quality
- Stand, walk, use hands, and communicate as needed What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years related experience and/or training preferred or equivalent combination
- Detailed training in CNC machine operation preferred
- Former experience with Trax type machines preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing prints; strong math, critical thinking
- Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs safely
- Ability to work independently and interpret work orders and forms Nice to Have
- Trax type machines experience
- CNC operation training
