Machinist

About the Role ANDRITZ is seeking a Machinist to perform skilled fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of metal parts and tools. The role requires accuracy, precision, and adherence to instructions and specifications. Assignments are provided via blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions and are subject to inspection for quality and conformity. What You'll Do

• Fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair metal parts and tools according to specifications and drawings.
• Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of parts and ensure conformance to requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and models; visualize parts from rough instructions.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices; work with team members.
• Maintain safety protocols and work in a standing position for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as required. What We're Looking For
• 1 year of experience as a skilled machinist with completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program, or three years of experience as a skilled machinist; other combinations of experience/education may apply.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and written/oral instructions in English.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses).
• Knowledge of tools, materials, methods, and safety practices of the machinist trade.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork; willingness to learn on-the-job.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with repetitive, precise motions. Compensation & Benefits
