Machine Operator

Volt is immediately hiring for Machine Operator in Groveport, OH

As a Machine Operator you will:

• Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
• Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies.
• Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
• Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and client procedures.
• Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication.
• Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately.
• Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches.
• Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
• Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.

This is a full-time 3-month contract opportunity.

• 6-8 months experience in machinery, band saws, automatic welding machines, and mechanical background.
• Experience to use and understand tape measures and gauges for quality checks.
• 3–6 month of forklift experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.
• Computer experience for automated machinery.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard.
• Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipe.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
