Description

• Volt is immediately hiring Machinists in Monroe, NC.

As a Machinist you will:

• Operate a variety of production machines

• Perform setups with assistance

• Load and unload parts

• Deburr parts

• Change tool offsets

• Verify part dimensions

• Detect out of tolerance situations and make simple adjustments

• Detect any machine malfunctions

• Perform appropriate preventative maintenance and pre-operational checks

• Maintain work area in a safe and clean condition

• Adhere to 5s practices

• Perform all duties assigned by supervisor

• This is a full-time temp to hire 12 month contract opportunity.

The ideal Machinist candidate will have:

• 1-2 years’ experience operating CNC Lathe or CNC Mill

• Knowledge of program codes and ability to perform simple program edits

• Knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments

• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and work instructions

• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and other accessories used in production

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions

• Ability to work changing work schedules including overtime

• Ability to work and succeed in a team environment

• Passing practical exam

• Pay Rate: $25-$27.00/hour

Shifts Available:

• Monday - Friday

• 2nd shift 4pm - 12am

• 3rd shift 12am - 8am
