Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Location: Westchester, IL

Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $19 p/hr

Job Description:

Job Squad is looking for Packaging/Production Operators for 3rd Shift in Melrose Park, IL for our food manufacturing partner.

Main Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Food Safety policies.

• -have experience in changeovers and changing out films

• -familiar with LOTO

• -knowledge of setting up the machines

• · Must be willing to work flexible schedules and work in other departments including weekends and holidays

• · Ability to read and understand recipes.

• · Ability to troubleshoot process related issues within the boundaries of the recipe

• · Ability to use digital scales and have a working knowledge of scale functions.

• · Ability to mix doughs according to recipe. Having a working knowledge of the mixer, using the time and batch recipe system

• · Follow FIFO (First in First Out), Mix lot number and documentation accuracy.

• · Clean & Refill ingredient bins and label the bins with the correct lot number.

• · Ability to work in a standing position for entire shift and climb steps and ladders.

• · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

• · Monitors and assists with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation.

• · Ability to clean mixers, work areas properly during and after production runs or changeovers

• · Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

• · Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions

• · Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements

• ·Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor

• ·Follow supervisor’s directives and be able to support the shift team as needed

• -Mathematical skills
