About the Role Volt is hiring a Machine Operator III in Raleigh, NC to support the Bindery Department. This contract, full-time role involves setting up and maintaining insert folding equipment, reading rulers, and performing maintenance to meet production schedules while upholding quality standards. What You'll Do
- Set up and maintain insert folding equipment and read a ruler.
- Locate flatstock to prepare for folding inserts and outserts.
- Perform all required preventative machine maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Make readies and minor adjustments to produce inserts.
- Operate Bindery Department machinery to keep up with workload.
- Operate insert folding equipment as needed.
- Adhere to 6S, SOPs and work instructions.
- Make trays and shippers as needed.
- Adhere to quality standards.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.
- Shift: 3rd shift: 11:30 to 7:30am. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two to three years of related experience with set-up and maintenance of insert folding equipment.
- Experience in paper manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management and self-motivation. Nice to Have
- Experience in paper manufacturing industry is preferred. Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $21.00/hr - $25.00/hr USD.
