Machine Operator

About the Role Edgewell is seeking a Machine Operator to operate multiple production lines and equipment, ensuring safe operation, quality output, and efficient line performance. The role focuses on operating equipment within validated perimeters, performing basic troubleshooting, and documenting activities to support production goals.

What You'll Do

• Operate production lines/equipment within validated perimeters to meet required rate and quality standards.
• Maintain product quality and productivity by monitoring line performance and throughput.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and identify issues; perform preventative maintenance following a predictive maintenance methodology.
• Change over equipment per production requirements to avoid unnecessary downtime; make minor machine adjustments.
• Document work performed and ensure correct setup specs and required quality checks/reports are completed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to EPC Safety/Environmental, GMP, and Lean 5S policies.
• Read and complete required production documentation and follow all procedures; collaborate across functions and adapt to production needs.
• Be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Two years mechanical training or equivalent experience in packaging/production environment.
• Basic math, reading, writing and computer skills required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics, and controls aspects of production equipment (preferred).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to see a complex task through to completion; ability to follow detailed instructions and be detail oriented.
• Ability to work across functions; strong organizational skills; self-motivated and able to work independently; ability to multi-task.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics, and controls aspects of production equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
