About the Role We are seeking a true machining professional to join Dover/ PSG/Mouvex as a Machine Operator based in Downers Grove, IL. Under the supervision of the production supervisor and while maintaining your own productivity, you will lead a production team, resolve technical problems, ensure safety and quality, and contribute to continuous improvement in a dynamic, global manufacturing environment. What You'll Do
- Animate and coordinate a production team
- Support operators in solving technical and other problems
- Ensure compliance with safety/HSE regulations, internal rules, and shift schedules
- Report to management
- Coordinate activities and make decisions to adapt to machine, setup, or urgent issues
- Ensure 1st level maintenance is executed
- Guarantee your team's productivity and quality according to defined indicators
- Assess team qualifications and define training needs to increase versatility
- Maintain and update performance indicators for the service as directed by your manager What We're Looking For
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team
- Strong general mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read and modify CNC machine programs
- Ability to interpret and use a manufacturing dossier (operating procedure, machine settings, programs, routings, drawings)
- Ability to operate a CNC machine and read a plan/drawing
- Ability to set up and adjust machines
- Ability to control production quality and output
- Strong anticipation and rapid response to malfunctions and emergencies
- Availability for 3-shift operation (3x7)
