Job title: Machine Operator
About the Role Continental AG is seeking a Machine Operator to assist with adjustment, operation, and supervision of machines according to regulations (factory data collection or TSOP, work instructions), while ensuring quality and timely completion of orders.
What You'll Do
- Assist with adjustment, operation and supervision of machines according to regulations and work instructions, ensuring qualitative and punctual order completion.
- Set up the machine according to the setting-up plan and monitor its technical state and flawless function.
- Perform quality controls according to TSOP; report deviations to a supervisor.
- Commission actions in case of technical errors and report to supervisor.
- Check safety installations and ensure safe operation.
- Separate material with failures and segregate defective products.
- Perform and ensure quality controls according to inspection plan and regulations; document manufacturing and testing records properly.
- Conduct optical control for product defects and mark their positions; separate defective products.
- Manage resources, auxiliary, residual and operating materials; supply and disposal of subassemblies, pre-products, resources, auxiliary, residual and operating materials.
- Ensure timely supply of tools and compliance with procedures defined in the function manual/IMS.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma in Mechanical or Plastic
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within automotive or chemical industry
- Knowledge of Lean Production, 5S, PDCA
- Willingness to work with Continental
Nice to Have
- Knowledge in polymer processing is a plus
