Machine Operator and Part Finisher/Sorter (All Shifts)

About the Role Volt is hiring for All Shifts Machine Operators and Part Finisher/Sorters in Carlsbad, CA to operate 3D MJF printers, perform post-processing, and help ensure parts meet quality standards. The roles involve collaborating with Project Technicians, Machine Technicians, Leads, and the Finishing Department to support production schedules and maintain uptime. What You'll Do

• Operate, maintain, and prepare 3D MJF printers, processing stations, and build units for production.
• Perform media blasting and post-processing tasks according to job sheets and drawings.
• Inspect parts for quality, verify features, and identify defects; report issues and reject non-conforming parts.
• Report equipment issues and notify leads of questionable parts; maintain equipment, media levels, and a clean work area.
• Ensure printers meet uptime and productivity (OEE) requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and promote a positive team environment.
• Assist with various production activities and other duties as assigned.
• Sort completed builds and jobs; install part inserts and prepare parts according to job requirements.
• Enter and maintain production and quality data in the QA database.
• Work with MJF Supervisors, Project Technicians, Machine Technicians, Leads, and the Finishing Department to support production schedules.
• Ensure all jobs are processed and delivered to Quality Control and Shipping on time. What We're Looking For
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience; minimum 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute detailed job instructions; strong technical attributes; excellent attention to detail; analytical and problem-solving skills; organizational skills.
• Beginning Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to multitask; able to work with and without supervision; team player and independent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to pass a drug test and a background check. Nice to Have
• Experience with QA databases or QA data entry.
• Prior experience in a 3D printing/manufacturing environment. Compensation & Benefits
• Pay range: $21.00-$22.00 per hour.
