Job title: Machine Operator 3 - 3rd shift
About the Role The Machine Operator - Paint on the 3rd shift operates powdercoat (blades) and liquid (holesaw) paint equipment, sets up and runs the paint line, and ensures quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, and shut down the paint line for powdercoat and liquid paint processes.
- Load/unload product, rotate through line changes, and respond to equipment issues with adjustments as required.
- Inspect and verify product against quality standards; use a paint thickness gauge to verify thickness.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on paint line equipment; inspect, clean, and change tips on paint guns; hone turnover belt.
- Change out and add paint as required; check and clean re-claim hoppers; maintain production pace and standards.
- Adhere to safety requirements, practice 5S, and follow verbal and written instructions; apply basic math and mechanical skills.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of machine operation experience preferred.
- Ability to operate powdercoat and liquid paint equipment and load/unload product.
- Basic math and basic mechanical skills; strong problem-solving abilities to recognize and react to equipment issues.
- Able to work in environments with dust and vapors; committed to safety and quality standards.
Nice to Have
- 1 year of machine operation experience; experience with paint lines or coating processes is a plus.
