Job title: Machine Maintenance Technician
About the Role Join Bachoco USA as a Machine Maintenance Technician. You will operate, maintain, and repair machinery within our fully integrated processing facilities, ensuring safe and efficient production. This is a night-shift role (Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–10:00 AM) based in our U.S. operations.
What You'll Do
- Operate, maintain, and repair a machine.
- Adjust product flow from the machine and adjust/test equipment used for different products.
- Visually inspect and test machinery; listen for unusual sounds and discuss operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance staff to diagnose problems.
- Dismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired parts.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts; install/repair electrical and electronic components.
- Keep the equipment clean and notify management if there is a machine malfunction.
What We're Looking For
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions; deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequently lift/move up to 75 pounds.
- Work Environment and Safety: Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting with moving parts and exposure to fumes or airborne particles; loud environment; and variable conditions. Ability to work the night shift as required.
- Other: No supervisory responsibilities at the role; follows policies and procedures and respects safety guidelines.
