About the Role As an ML Engineer at Solventum, you will help build and maintain the pipelines powering AI in our Healthcare Information Systems (HIS). We value practical, reliable ML deployment with a focus on MLOps, data reliability, and production stability. You’ll bridge data science and software engineering by automating workflows, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring AI services are secure and scalable.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning, focusing on automated testing, model deployment, and version control (using MLflow or Git).
• Deploy ML models as scalable APIs and microservices, meeting clinical performance and latency requirements.
• Implement basic monitoring to track model performance, data drift, and system health in production.
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines to transform healthcare data (FHIR, HL7) into clean, usable datasets for model training and inference.
• Build and maintain feature stores and data layers to ensure consistency between training and production environments.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate ML outputs into our core healthcare applications.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software or data engineering, with at least 2 years in ML production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with a compiled language (Go or Java) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with ML libraries (PyTorch or Scikit-learn) and MLOps tools (Airflow, Prefect, BentoML, Kubeflow).
• Experience with data processing frameworks (Pandas, Spark, or dbt).
• Familiarity with deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) or frameworks like LangChain.
• Experience working in regulated environments (Healthcare, Finance, etc.) and understanding of API design and microservices architecture.
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

• Experience deploying LLMs or using LangChain in production.
• Direct experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
• Strong API design and microservices architecture knowledge.
