Job title: Lubricant Technology Development Program Lead

About the Role You will be a key enabler of ExxonMobil's Lubricant Technology Development Program in India, independently leading sub-activities related to New Product Development and deployment, and coordinating end-to-end 3rd party testing for products including OEM requirements.

What You'll Do

• Understand customer needs by working with the business and directly with customers; research, understand, and articulate technology trends, standards, customer requirements, and competitive threats.
• Feed technology trends and competitive insights to the Technology Program Manager/Technology Integration Manager and support Product Line Management to define project profiles, deliverables and timing.
• Lead projects from profile definition to commercial launch, including formulation finalization and rollout support to other functions across the value chain.
• Develop test plans, review data, and conduct analysis to define the lead technical solution aligned with product profile/deliverable expectations.
• Screen new additive and base stock technologies for advanced lubricant formulations; incorporate COGS and LVC analysis to achieve competitive technical and commercial outcomes.
• Determine technical readiness for product release; comply with internal processes; provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Provide technical input into business processes to prioritize execution; support brand quality approvals and plant waiver requests; work with manufacturing and blending teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in industry committees aligned with OEM technology teams and develop a reputation as a recognized ExxonMobil expert.
• Coordinate external testing of lubricant formulations, manage test slots and sample shipments, and maintain the 3rd party test catalogue and price lists.
• Support procurement and supplier sourcing for existing technologies; assist product releases; manage documentation, regulatory, and labeling requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or Master's in Chemistry or allied subjects with outstanding academic record.
• Strong technical foundation in lubricant development, testing coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to lead projects end-to-end, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and translate technical results into ready-to-launch solutions.
• Familiarity with regulatory and trade requirements affecting commercialized products.
